Eucalyptus grandis grows as a tall, straight tree, reaching around 50 m in height,4 with a diameter of 1.2 to 2 m. The largest trees can reach 75 m in height and 3 m in diameter, with the tallest tree on record being one known as «The Grandis» near Bulahdelah, with a height of 86 m and a diameter of 8.5 m. (28 ft). The trunk is straight and constitutes between two thirds to three quarters of the height of the tree.
