SAMÁN WOOD
The wood shows a light or dark brown heartwood, while the sapwood is pale yellow. The specific gravity of the wood is 0.48 and it is a medium heavy wood. The wood is also semi-resistant to fungal attack and resistant to termite attack.
Common uses:
General housing, beams, boards, frames, panels, furniture and cabinets, luxury furniture, cabinets, plywood and veneers, among others.
WOOD DESCRIPTION
The heartwood is a bright pale brown. to pinkish brown with dark brown stripes. the sapwood is distinct, straw-colored, 60 mm or more wide.
